BRIEF PROFILE:

Prof. Mrs. Felicia Annin (PhD) is an Associate Professor in the Department of General Studies and Head of Research, Innovation and Consultancy Unit, University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Ghana. She holds PhD English, University of the Western Cape, Cape Town (South Africa); MPhil English, University of Education, Winneba (Ghana); MA Comparative Literature, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (Ghana) and BEd Arts (English Option), University of Cape Coast (Ghana). Her specialised areas are African Literature, Ghanaian Culture, Ecocriticism and Gender Studies.
Before her appointment at UESD, Felicia served as the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Graduate School; Head, Department of General Education and the Department of Arts and Social Studies Education at Valley View University (VVU), Ghana. She is a professional teacher and has taught at all levels: Basic, Technical, Secondary, Polytechnic (Technical University), Teacher Training College (College of Education) and Universities. Her research works bridge the humanities and the environmental sciences, exploring how gendered narratives, cultural texts, and social structures influence sustainable development practices in Africa. Through her research, teaching, and institutional leadership, Mrs. Annin promotes innovation, inclusivity, and knowledge translation between academia and society.
Mrs. Annin is a member of several boards, committees and associations including African Studies Association (USA), African Literature Association (USA), Literature Association of Ghana, and Linguistics Association of Ghana. She has attended conferences both local and international and has published articles in peer reviewed journals.
Her hobbies include reading novels and watching football.
