Dr. Isaac Abekah Koomson, an economist specializing in development and productivity, serves as a dedicated lecturer at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD). Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the esteemed Universiti Brunei, he has demonstrated his commitment to academia and research.

Isaac’s journey at UESD began in June 2021 when he joined as a lecturer, swiftly progressing to his current role as a senior staff member. Prior to his tenure at UESD, he contributed as a part-time lecturer at Valley View University, showcasing his versatility in academic roles.

Currently, Isaac holds the esteemed position of Research Director at W2POINTS, a renowned multisector consulting agency with a presence in Indonesia and China. He is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Economist in Petroleum (ACCE). Over the years, he has significantly contributed to the academic landscape with several publications in international journals, some of which have garnered widespread citations in the literature. His impactful work extends to a published book chapter by Intechopen Co. U.K. and various policy-related articles.

Isaac’s influence reaches beyond publications, as he actively engages in international conferences and webinars across Africa and the World. His keen interest in productivity and efficiency issues in the context of growth and development serves as a source of inspiration for numerous scholastic articles and policy initiatives.
