Ms. Mawufemor Afi Danyo is faculty member at the Department of Water Resources & Aquaculture Management at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development, Somanya where she lectures in Principles of Hydrology, Groundwater Hydrology, Hydrochemistry among others.
She holds a Bsc. Geology from the University of Ghana and an Msc. in Water Science and Engineering with specialization in Hydrology and Water Resources from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (UNESCO-IHE), the Netherlands. Mawufemor is an early level career researcher with interests in catchment hydrology and groundwater resources. She has expertise in Geostatistics, Hydrochemical modeling in earth sciences and GIS for hydrological applications.
Before joining the University, she worked as a Community Development Officer with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ghana, at the MMDA level. There, she led and took part in projects such as Community-led Total Sanitation (CLTS), Rural Enterprise Program and Child Protection aside her core duties. She brings on board a lot of experience in stakeholder /community engagement. She believes knowledge sharing in whatever form is critical to development and passionate about such.

She has a wide range of research interest including; Hydrochemistry and Water Quality, Groundwater exploration, Groundwater modeling (subsurface fluid flow and solute transport modeling) and the impact of climate change on water resources.
