The University of Environment and Sustainable Development Library started its operation and services upon the establishment of the University. The library is currently located in the faculty building. The library department of UESD is established to provide information resources, convenient space that is required to support teaching and learning in the University. University of Environment and sustainable Development (UESD) maintains a library that provides materials and services to meet the instructional, research and extension needs of the various constituents of the University. The library serves the students, faculty, researchers, administrators and employees both in their reading activities and research ventures.
The library also offers its services to researchers outside the university such as teachers and students from other schools, alumni, government officials/workers and those from other countries subject to the rules and regulations of the library. An open-shelf system is used for greater access to the collection. The books and other information resources are classified according to the Library of Congress Classification Scheme.
The library provides access to an extensive range of informative resources like physical books, e-books, journals, e-journals, newspapers and a wide range of resources to improve the knowledge and thought process of the academic fraternity and students.
