Dr. Salaam Jansbaka Adams is a Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences, School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, University of Environment and Sustainable Development, Somanya, Ghana.
He had his university education from the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degrees in Nuclear Earth Science, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) Degree in Earth Science from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, all in his home country, Ghana. He also obtained Teachers Certificate (Cert. A) from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana.
Dr. Salaams area of specialization is the use of nuclear techniques for mineral exploration and exploitation, groundwater exploration and exploitation, groundwater exploration and exploitation, fieldwork and research. His research interest is on the mineralisation, geochemistry, petrology metallogeny and field relations of critical and transition minerals; medical geology and isotope geology.
He has been working on the Paleoproterozoic Birimian pegmatites of Ghana since he enrolled to do his Masters Degree at the University of Ghana trying to provide an understanding of such wondrous rocks and the strategic and critical minerals which they host, by working with local and international researchers.
