University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) in Ghana and TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) in Germany
To strengthen collaboration between UESD and TUBAF, students from the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences reading Sustainable Tourism Products Development had a joint online programme with students from the Departments of Geophysics and Geoinformatics. The students were grouped into four groups and were tasked to develop sustainable tourism products with Ghana as the destination. Group one worked on developing water resources (artificial lake), group two worked on agricultural products (beekeeping experience), group 3 worked on forest ecotourism (reforestation), and group four worked on eco-legacy (plant a tree, leave a legacy). The students spent about 6 weeks studying in their groups and, with the guidance of their instructors, Darlene, Kilian, Karin Loetzsch and Fatima Eshun, had weekly presentations until the final presentation of their project work.
These are some of the pictures from their online presentations;
