The programme is accessible to prospective SSSCE/WASSCE Applicants, International Applicants and Fee-paying Applicants (SSSCE/WASSCE), mature students, Ghanaians with foreign results, and Applicants from Less-Endowed Schools. The admission requirements for the various groups are as follows:
Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects, which should include at least two of the following: Physics, Mathematics, Biology; Chemistry, General Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Animal Husbandry, Economics, and Business Management, with an aggregate score of 24 or better.
Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies and any three elective subjects with at least two of the following: Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, General Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Animal Husbandry, Economics, and Business Management, with an aggregate score of 36 or better.
Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). In addition, a pass in General Paper must also be obtained. Besides, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in Five (5) General Certificate of Education (GCE/WASC), Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and a science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for science students)
HND holders with the relevant background may be admitted to the Third Year of the programme after passing an interview, while HND First Class holders may be considered for admission without an interview. Also, two-year Diploma holders from recognized tertiary institution may be admitted into the second year, while three years Diplomas with distinction may be admitted into the third year of the programme without an interview.
Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)
The applicant must be at least 25 years old and must show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date.
Holders of WASSCE, SSSCE, or any other nationally recognized standard High School level examinations (for qualifications from countries outside WAEC’s aegis) who do not qualify for direct entry but are 25 years of age or above.
The applicant must pass the Mature Students’ Entrance Examination (English Language, Mathematics, and an Aptitude Test) and a selection interview conducted for short-listed candidates.
International students may be admitted based on qualification from their home country for which the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) shall determine equivalence. Evidence of proficiency in the English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries.
