The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, Eastern Region announces for the information of its graduands and the general public that its 2nd Congregation will be held as follows:

  • Date: Saturday, 22nd November, 2025
  • Theme: From Knowledge to Action: Advancing Environmental Stewardship and Societal Transformation
  • Time: 9:00 am prompt
  • Venue: New Auditorium, UESD Campus, Somanya
  • Special Guest of Honour: Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah
  • Guest of Honour: Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. (Mrs) Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey
  • Guest Speaker: Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, Forester and HR Professional

Graduands who have completed their programmes of study and wish to participate in the November 2025 Congregation Ceremony are required to note the following:

  1. Confirm that their names appear on the list of graduating students.
  2. Ensure that all outstanding financial obligations to the University are fulfilled.
  3. Register online from [registration date].
  4. Pay a graduation fee of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS 500) at any GCB Bank PLC branch or online using Mobile Money (Wallet to Bank) into the University’s GCB Bank Account number 2071130000872 with the Reference ‘Graduation Fees’. Graduands should then proceed to their designated collection points for their graduation gowns, and invitation cards for themselves and up to two guests.

A list of graduands to be presented at the 22nd November, 2025 Congregation, will be available on the University’s website at www.uesd.edu.gh.

Important Notes for Graduating Students:

  • Admission to the congregation venue is strictly by invitation. (Each graduand may invite a maximum of two guests.)
  • Graduands are expected to be seated in the new Auditorium in their academic gown, preferably worn over a suit/jacket with a tie or other suitable attire
  • Graduands must be decently dressed

Rehearsal
Rehearsals for graduands attending the Congregation will be held at the Forecourt of the New Auditorium. The date and time will be communicated in due course.
