Staff and Students of UESD Undergo Freelancer Digital Training

The University of Environment and Sustainable (UESD) has hosted a Freelancer Digital Training for staff members, students, and other participants from the Yilo and Manya Krobo Municipalities. held at the Auditorium, Multipurpose Building,

It was a collaboration between the Research, Innovation, and Consultancy Unit (RICU) of the University and Thinking Minds Ghana- a non-profit enterprise and social innovation hub based in Kpong, in the Eastern Region.

The training aimed at equipping participants with essential skills for succeeding in the digital freelancing economy featured three main sessions. The first session, which explored the topic:  Introduction to Digital Freelancing & Online Work Opportunities, was facilitated by Isaac Newton Acquah, co-founder of The Innovation Spark, an innovation consulting agency. In his presentation, he provided participants with an overview of the freelancing landscape and emerging opportunities in the digital space.

The second session which is a hands-on training, took participants through “Setting Up Freelancing Profiles (Fiverr, Upwork, etc.),” where they learnt how to create professional profiles on major freelancing platforms. The third session, “Digital Tools for Communication, Productivity & Payments,” touched on essential software and platforms for managing freelance work efficiently.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to seek clarification and share experiences.
