Ms. Justina Betty Arko Mayne is Assistant Registrar (AR) at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) Somaya E/R. She is the Head of General Administration and a founding Member of University Christian Fellowship (UCF) at UESD.
Ms. Mayne holds advanced degrees, including an MPhil in English Language, MEd in Educational Administration, and MA in Adult Education, complemented by a BEd in English Education, a Diploma in Human Resource, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ Post Secondary and certification as a Chartered Professional Administrator.
She has extensive experience as a tutor and administrator at the College of Education, Komenda, where she taught English Language, served as an academic counsellor, hall warden, dining hall mistress, safe space focal person for Sexual Harassment cases, assistant to the College Secretary, admissions assistant, and research supervisor. Her secondary school teaching roles include Holy Child School Cape Coast and Presbyterian Senior Secondary School, Tema, where she taught English Language and Literature, served as a house mistress, staff secretary, Link Coordinator for the Heads of State Awards Program, and patroness of the Read Wide Club.
Ms. Justina Betty Arko Mayne is also an experienced examiner who has worked with UCC CODE Mature Entrance Examinations, West African Examinations Council – Ghana and Colleges of Education as well as a Presiding Officer for Tema East Consituency. Her expertise spans academic and administrative leadership, research supervision, curriculum development, student welfare, and community engagement, making her well-suited to oversee examinations at the university.
