Theme – Green Finance and Sustainable Economic Transformation: Hopes, Realities and Dilemmas

Background

The Green Finance Concept has emerged as one of the pathways to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 7, 8, 9 11 and 12), realise the Paris Climate Accord and a move towards the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 (The Africa We Want). It also provides financial services for environmental protection initiatives such as energy conservation, clean transportation, green buildings, environmental education, and green technologies, with the goal of reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable development.

This 4^th Sustainability Development Conference on Green Finance aims to bring together policymakers, academicians, and industrial experts, amongst others, to explore and discuss the hopes, realities and dilemmas in green financing in our unique context as a developingeconomy.

We invite submissions for oral and poster presentations under the following thematic areas:

• Green Technologies and Clean Energy
• Green Building, and Environmental Policy and Legislation
• Green and Circular Economy
• Environmental Education and Awareness
• Ecosystems and Eco-friendly Industries
• Social Inclusion and Green Financing
• Climate Change and Agriculture
• Green Financing and Public Health
• Public Health Related Issues

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Please submit your abstract of not more than 250 words and a maximum of 5 keywords to conferences@uesd.edu.gh

31^st July 2024             Deadline for submission of abstracts

7^th August 2024         Notification of decision on abstracts

23^rd August 2024       Submission of full paper for conference proceedings

2^nd September 2024   Submission of revised papers

Delegate –                                              GHC 1000

Postgraduate delegate –                        GHC 500

Undergraduate delegate –                     GHC 100

International delegate –                           US$150

Accommodation is not included in the conference fee. Information on preferential rates provided by local hotels will be advertised on the conference website in due course
