Aboagye Kwarteng Dofuor

My research interest involves drug discovery and development for microbial infections such as parasites and bacteria. Pathogens that are typically investigated include African trypanosomes, Leishmania, Plasmodium, Yersinia and Mycobacteria. Since drug discovery and development is largely interdisciplinary in nature, I employ a combination of biological, physical, computational and mathematical tools. These usually encompass disciplines such as Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology and Quantum Biochemistry.
