Visiting Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow Pays Courtesy Call on UESD Leadership

The University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), Somanya, E/R has hosted an Associate Professor of Chemistry from Tabor College, USA, Prof. James Titah, in his office.
Prof. Titah is in Ghana on an eight-week exchange programme under the prestigious Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Programme. He will be supporting the Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at UESD to develop a curriculum for a Master’s Programme in Chemistry and other related fields.

The visit, facilitated by the International Programmes Office (IPO), was to formally introduce the visiting Professor to the University’s top management. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Nyarko Sampson in the company of the Registrar, Mrs Mary Abena Agyepong and the Head of IPO, Ms. Mavis Kissi assured Prof. Titah of the University’s full support throughout his stay. They also encouraged him to complete his scheduled activities within the period of his fellowship.

The exchange programme was initiated through collaborative efforts between Dr. Jonathan Osei Wusu of the Department of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the International Programmes Office, and the funders of the African Diaspora Project.
